Treaty of ‎Turkmenchay


Treaty concluded in the village of Turkmenchay between Russia and Iran on February 10, 1828. The treaty led to the division of Azerbaijan: the Northern Azerbaijan was incorporated into Russia, while the Southern Azerbaijan was annexed by Iran.
