Heydar Aliyev: I go to Davos when the World Economic Forum is held. Now this forum is held in New York and I have come to New York.
Kaspar Villiger: Mister President, several years ago we met you in Baku and in Davos. I am very glad to meet you in New York. Each meeting with you creates pleasant feelings.
Dear President, it is pleasant to me to meet you here, but I would be very glad to see you in Davos in the next year.
Heydar Aliyev: I will come to Davos by all means.
Kaspar Villiger: Mister President, I consider right to come to New York after terrible tragedy on 11 September.
Heydar Aliyev: I listened to your speech at opening ceremony of the World Economic Forum. You were speaking perfectly. You noted very precisely the important questions. I congratulate you on a good speech. In this speech you showed a correct way to the World Economic Forum. The forum passes well. Representatives of many countries of the world have come here.
Kaspar Villiger: Mister President, thank you for the kind words about me. You know, in our country - Switzerland - I am criticized that I have not accepted necessary measures for holding the World economic forum in Davos. I consider that it is necessary to work not for propagation, but for the solution of problems. To my mind, we should try to solve the basic problems in New York too. Because the main direction of the Davos World Economic Forum consists of that.
We should always conduct a detailed exchange of opinions. If such events like the Davos economic forum are not carried out, we should spend three months for making a trip worldwide to meet with each other.
Heydar Aliyev: Right. The Davos forum is really very important and significant forum for the whole world. Therefore every year representatives of many countries participate in a work of this forum.
I am taking part in this forum for the third time. I have twice visited Davos for participation in the World economic forum, and in third time arrived in New York. I am very glad for the meeting and conversation with you. We met you both in Baku, and in Davos. I met you when you were minister. I remember, two years ago when we met in Baku, you said that you would become the president of Switzerland after two years, and we would meet you in Davos. You see, your words became reality. After two years, that is now, you are the president and we meet.
Kaspar Villinger: Mister President, you know, in our country becoming a president does not require special skill. In our country there are only 7 ministers. These 7 ministers become presidents in turn. I was already the president in 1995, that is, now I am already holding this post for the second time. But this time I will hold a post of the president only for one year.
Heydar Aliyev: Anyway, you are the president now. And how you became the president has no particular importance. You told me that you would become the president, but I thing it is also necessary to live for this purpose.
I would like to show you the book about Davos. You see how much significance we attach to Davos. This book is called "Davos: horizons of global economy". Look, there is a picture of our meeting here.
Kaspar Villinger: It seems to me that I have a little changed.
Heydar Aliyev: No, you have not changed at all. I have changed but you have not.
